Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Brendan Merrick debuts seven home recordings composed between 2004 and 2006 – maybe they're best described as bittersweet ballads of regret and longing.

Brendan formerly played guitar and co-wrote the songs in Star Ghost Dog, a rock band that called it quits in 2002 after releasing two critically acclaimed albums on Catapult Records and winning the Boston Music Award for Outstanding New Rock Band in 2000.

Merrick's new music leaves his ex-band's high-energy, fully orchestrated rock sound. These days, he's focused on stripped-down acoustic refinement. As for getting back into the music scene, Brendan has nothing but enthusiasm. "My guitar is out from under the bed for good," he says.
